Greetings, Jacaranda Childcare Centre Families!
I'm Ashleigh, from ashleigh elle art, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to photograph the children at your centre.
My goal is to create beautiful, natural portraits with an artistic touch, while making photo day a relaxed and enjoyable experience for the children.
I offer a more personal approach to traditional daycare and school photography, capturing the little expressions and personalities that make each child uniquely themselves.

I offer a boutique approach to daycare, preschool and kindergarten photography, with a focus on personal service, clear communication and natural portraits that families genuinely love.
I photograph children as they are which means no forced smiles and no awkward poses. I keep the experience relaxed and playful so children have the space to feel comfortable, while using natural light and natural surroundings to create simple, timeless photographs.
With a background in early childhood teaching, I’m very experienced in working with young children and understand that every child responds differently to having their photograph taken.
On photo day, I’ll aim to create photographs consistent with my portfolio style. Some children will happily pause for a portrait, while others would much rather keep moving, exploring or playing. In those cases, I’ll follow their lead and photograph them naturally while they’re engaged in something they enjoy.
Where possible, photographs will be taken outdoors using the Centre’s natural environment as the backdrop. If the weather isn’t suitable, I’ll adapt and use appropriate undercover or indoor spaces while keeping the photographs relaxed and natural.
Whatever the approach, the experience is always child-led, relaxed and playful.
There is nothing to pay upfront, and registration is completely free.
After photo day, you’ll receive a secure, private online gallery through Pixieset with a minimum of four images of your child to choose from.
Once you’ve viewed your gallery, you can decide whether you’d like to purchase any images. There is absolutely no obligation to buy.
You’ll have the option to purchase digital images, professional prints, or a combination of both.
All tangible products are produced by a high-quality professional print lab, ensuring your portraits are beautifully printed and made to last.
Each family will receive an email with a link to their own private, password-protected online gallery within 2–3 weeks of photo day. Each child will have a minimum of 4 images.
Your gallery will contain only images of your own child or children. All ordering takes place online through my Pixieset store, where you can choose from digital images, professional prints, or a combination of both. There are no pre-purchased packages, simply choose and purchase the images and products you love. There is no obligation to buy.
I work with a professional print lab so if you have a specific print product request that's not listed, the chances are that we can make it happen.
Please note: the gallery will remain open for fourteen (14) days only, and all orders must be placed within that time frame.

Print orders will be processed through a professional print lab and delivered to the Centre for distribution to families.
The photos will take place on the morning of photo day, approximately 9am-11am. The precise timing will be confirmed with you closer to the date. Sibling photos involving children that do not attend the Centre will be arranged earlier in the morning to accommodate school aged children.
I recommend that children avoid large graphics, heavy patterns, or neon colours, as these not only distract from their portrait, but can also have an effect on skin tones. Solid colours photograph best and help keep the focus on your child. Most images are taken from the shoulders up, so tops are the most important part of their outfit.
